Frisbee Anyone?

I just checked yahoo’s top searches for the day.  Frisbee was #3.  I didn’t know it was so popular.  OK.  I do realize everyone has probably thrown- or tried to throw- a Frisbee at least once in their life.  But, I would never have thought to search about it on-line.  What exactly would a person be searching to find out?  Everyone must already know what it is. But, if not, wikipedia to the rescue.

Flying discs (commonly called Frisbees) are disc-shaped objects, which are generally plastic and roughly 20 to 25 centimeters (8–10 inches) in diameter, with a lip. The shape of the disc, an airfoil in cross-section, allows it to fly by generating lift as it moves through the air while rotating. The name Frisbee is a registered trademark of the Wham-O toy company, but is often used generically to describe all flying discs.

Here is an interesting fact.  The first known flying disk was a weapon used in ancient India.  Ironically, the Frisbee often becomes a weapon when young children are playing even today!  Some things never change.
